AI Parent Privacy Policy
Effective date: 12 September 2026
AI Parent is a parental study-monitoring application intended for parents
and legal guardians to monitor their own child's study and learning sessions.
It is not intended for secret or general-purpose surveillance.
Information We Process
AI Parent may process account information such as email address, account
identifiers, paired-device information, push notification tokens and
subscription status as necessary to provide the service.
Camera and Local AI
During an active study-monitoring session, AI Parent uses the child device's
camera. Camera images used for routine AI analysis are processed locally on
the device by an AI model to determine whether the configured study activity
is taking place.
If an alert condition is detected, one camera image may be transmitted using
HTTPS to the AI Parent server. The server does not intentionally store this
image. It is used to create an alert email for the paired parent and is
disposed of after processing. The parent's email provider may retain the
email and attachment according to its own policies.
Live Video and Audio
During an active monitoring session, the paired parent may initiate a live
camera and microphone connection with the child device. Live video and audio
are designed to be transmitted peer-to-peer and are not intentionally
recorded or stored by the AI Parent server.
Monitoring Transparency
AI Parent is designed for transparent parental monitoring. The child device
displays an ongoing notification while applicable monitoring functionality
is active. AI Parent is not designed to hide its monitoring activity.
Notifications and Subscriptions
AI Parent may process push notification identifiers to deliver alerts.
Subscription purchases are processed by Google Play. AI Parent may receive
subscription-status information but does not receive or store complete
payment-card details.
How Information Is Used
Information is used only as necessary to operate AI Parent, including
authentication, device pairing, study monitoring, parent alerts,
notifications, live parent check-ins and subscription management.
We do not sell personal information or use camera or microphone information
for advertising.
Data Retention and Deletion
Account and service information is retained only as necessary to operate
AI Parent and meet applicable legal or security requirements. Alert camera
images are not intentionally retained on the AI Parent server after email
processing, and live peer-to-peer video and audio are not intentionally
recorded by the server.
Users may request deletion of their AI Parent account and associated server
data through the account deletion function provided by AI Parent or by
contacting us at the email address below. Emails and attachments already
delivered to a parent's external email account must be deleted through that
email provider.
Children and Parental Use
AI Parent is intended to be configured and controlled by a parent or legal
guardian for use with their own child. Parents and guardians are responsible
for using the application lawfully and providing any notice or obtaining any
consent required by applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information processed by AI Parent.
Data transmitted between AI Parent and our server is encrypted in transit
using HTTPS where applicable.
Permissions
AI Parent may request camera, microphone and notification permissions when
required for its features. The current Google Play release does not provide
Android screen or MediaProjection monitoring.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when AI Parent's features or privacy
practices change. The effective date above will be updated when changes
are made.
